Vintage Robert Zentall Goldtone Wishing Well Brooch Pin With Attached Tag
This adorable Robert Zentall brooch in the shape of a wishing well has never been worn, and still has his ornate tag attached with a string. The intricate bucket is attached loose by the handle so it can move, and there is a small chain attached to represent the rope. Zentall started his line of hand-crafted cast costume jewelry in Mount Vernon New York in 1952, and by 1954 his designer costume jewelry was featured in Vogue. His work is recognizable by the textured mixed alloys he used that allowed for the texture of the hand-carved wax positives to shine through. A wonderful designer, and a particularly wonderful design! Measures 1.5” tall and is in new, never-worn condition.
