PINKS/PURPLES

This is a COLLECTIBLE PIECE OF JEWELRY…. Vintage PINKS AND PURPLES Made in Italy by “ORNELLA” Necklace. THIS NECKLACE IS STUNNING…. THE CLASP IS EITHER SOLID BRASS OR COPPER. IT IS AN 8 STRAND NECKLACE. It is incredibly well made and in near perfect condition considering it’s age. It was manufactured sometime between 1945ish-1970ish. The metal stamping has been in use since 1945 which is on the clasp. SUPPOSEDLY THIS BUSINESS STARTED AT THE END OF WWII….. The necklace length is 15.75 inches but with the clasp design I feel you could lose 1/2 inch approx. You can easily purchase necklace extenders here on Ebay for minimal cost…. 🙂 The necklace is quite heavy and solid in a good way…… 🙂 There are 5 loops for hanging the strands and what they did was put just 1 strand on either end and then the the addl. 3 loops in between they did 2 strands each…. 🙂 There are a few spots within a few of the glass beads that give it character…. They were made that way… 🙂 On the back of the loop part of clasp in 1 or 2 of the pics. there appears to be cracking let me assure you that is not the case it is just a finish vintage age related appearance but the metal is fully intact and is either Brass or Copper. I am assuming it is brass…. 🙂 CHECK OUT THE STUNNING CLASP WITH THE ABALONE PIECE WITH THE PINK GLASS BEADS AND SEED BEADS COVERING IT…. It is full of Rose, and pink, glass beads, then has some matte purple plastic type beads, then it has lavender Czech faceted glass beads, and then lots of seed beads in between the larger beads in shades of frosted white, pink, lavender, and clear in different parts of the necklace with the different colored beads…. The 8 strands are all in great condition and can easily be twisted the right way to line the 8 strands up perfectly…. 🙂 This is an inherited piece from probably one of my maternal Great Aunts(Dorothy), or she bought for my Great Grandmother because she was an accountant with Robinson’s May in LA, CA and probably purchased it there with her employee discount.
