This piece is a classic example of Art Deco jewelry from the 1920s–1930s, featuring “molded glass” (often referred to as “poured glass” or “Pâte de Verre”) designed to look like carved coral. Era: Circa 1920s–1930s (Art Deco period).
A wonderful Art Deco sterling with coral and marcasites cluster ring…marked 925…it’s about a size 4.75…it weighs about 4.11 grams…a few flea bite chips to the edges of the coral…otherwise in good condition with normal wear, scratches and discoloration commensurate of age and use…aged patina with polishing left up to the buyer…a very pretty antique art deco sterling with coral and marcasite cluster ring!
When worn, it will point downward towards the wearer’s heart. The pendant shows wear appropriate for age and previous use. It is marked with French hallmarks along the reverse, including two on the shaft of the arrow, one on the arrow head and one on the fletching.
