A beautifully carved vintage Māori hei tiki pendant fashioned from luminous natural paua shell and suspended from a sterling silver chain necklace. Displaying the mesmerising iridescence for which New Zealand paua shell is so highly prized, the carving features expressive traditional styling with hand-painted red eyes and finely engraved detail throughout. The shell shimmers with vivid tones of blue, green, violet and gold that shift beautifully in changing light. The pendant is suspended from a substantial sterling silver chain which perfectly complements the organic glow of the paua shell.
