This is the second piece of Mexican jewelry that I have listed that was made by both Antonio Pineda and Los Castillo. Three dimensional oval discs with working screw backs (could be changed to posts). Nice precision to the craftsmanship, a trade-mark of Antonia (the crown stamp). I believe these are made of 970 silver, a higher grade than sterling. 1 1/8″ x 3/4″. In excellent condition. Check pics as they are part of the description. Follow me or check back often as I am in the process of liquidating my vast collection of mid-century and modernist furnishings, listing new stuff almost daily.
It’s a Light Purple.

The brooch is made of sterling silver and showcases the traditional Mexican artisanal techniques that Taxco is known for. This piece is a beautiful and collectible item for those who appreciate vintage jewelry with a touch of history and artistry.
Made of sterling silver.Acid tested sterling silver. Condition: a small crack / chip at the edge of the stone, shown in the last picture. Great details and well-made. Ready to wear.
The entire set features a spiral design “tied” together by a curved “ribbon”. The fly-away swirls are tipped by “beaded” ends. This is a style she used in many of her works, both modern and counterbalanced.
