The earrings are Victorian, dating from the late 1800s. They are hollow in construction so they are not heavy to wear. The tops feature an acorn like form that is part of the leaver back ear wires. They hook at the front. These portions can be worn without the lengthy bottoms. Simply unhook and remove the bottom body. The body of the earrings feature a wing form that is three dimensional and hollow. From the center of the wings is the tiered hollow dangle. These earrings are massive and fabulous. They are a nice rose gold presented in very good condition with no repairs. These earrings are not hallmarked but test as 10 – 12K rose gold.
