Gorgeous and rare bracelet. Antique Art nouveau, Austro Hungarian. The ladies portraits are transfer- not painted. One of the links is completely missing the two settings for faux pearls as the other links have. It seems like an oversight/manufacturing flaw- because there are no marks on it that it ever had anything attached to it. Measures approx. 7” long. Each portrait is just a tad under 7/8” tall.
This is a stunning example of Russian lacquer miniature art, likely from the Fedoskino school or in the Fedoskino style. It features a finely detailed, hand-painted portrait of a woman in traditional Russian noble attire, wearing a classic kokoshnik headpiece.
