This necklace belonged to my mother and I was with her when she bought this necklace in New York. The sterling links were reproduced from antique watch chains then made into necklaces. This one has six oval and round bead stations.
The strand is secured with a delicate sterling silver filigree fishhook clasp, perfect for a classic, dainty look. The clasp is sterling but the tongue (part that inserts) is not. I test all of my sterling with JSP Silver Testing acid – we are looking for a red reaction.
